My group : is once again hosting our annual "Keep Hope Alive" event! The contest, daily prompts etc...is open to everyone not just members so please check it out if you get the chance. Its always a wonderful opportunity to share with others about the struggles and triumphs of those who suffer with a mental disorder(s).

“Keep Hope Alive” is an event week  that goes from August 5th- August 11th that focuses on  positivity, support and awareness all related to mental health but, in which we also aim to include as much of the DA community as possible in order to try to increase other people's understanding of mental illness. So the activities; including the contest, daily prompts, prizes, random draw everything including regular submissions will be open to everyone(not just members). I think its nice to have something where people can feel more involved and connected to other people, who have gone through similar experiences or who wish to understand those struggles better.

For the first time I’m not going to re-read what I wrote in previous years(which I usually do mostly to avoid repeating myself) because I’d like to start from scratch. Many of you know bits and pieces of my story as I’ve talked about my journey pretty openly, so you will probably recognize some of what I’m going to be writing about, but since I’m constantly changing as a person I know there’s still plenty of new things you don’t know about me yet.
